Gear & Rentals
Proper Winter Clothing
Your guide will examine your gear with you on the morning of Day 1 to insure you have the proper clothing for your journey. If needed advises will be provided for buying or renting additional clothing to guaranty that each client is properly dressed up for long term winter outdoor activities.
Required gear list
Good base layers (underwear) – 2 long sleeve shirts and 2 pants (please avoid cotton)
Fleece Pants and Sweater or equivalent
Neck Warmer (2)
Warm hat: Toque or Fur hat
Warm socks – 3 pairs (merino wool is perfect)
Fleece Gloves – 2 pairs
Sleeping liner to put in your sleeping bag to keep it clean
Head Lamp with extra batteries
Goggles and/or Sunglasses
Sunscreen and lip balm
Spare pair of compact winter boots or Booties
Thermos (for tea or coffee)
Soap and shampoo, toothbrush, tooth paste and feminine hygiene products if necessary
Personal medication if required
Pocket knife
Optional:
A thin insulated jacket (down, primaloft or fleece)
A good adventure book (optional)
Small battery unit to charge your devices on the trail
Compact camera, with extra battery kit
Clothing rental
Arctic winter clothing packages are available for rental. Please let us know upon the booking, we will require sizing information ahead of time.
The Arctic Package includes: Winter boots, Pants, Parka, sub-parka, and Mittens, neck warms and hat.
